Terms & Conditions

Service Agreement

All renovation services provided by Smart Space Home Guide are governed by a separate written contract signed by both parties before work begins. This contract will detail project scope, timeline, payment schedule, and warranty coverage. In case of conflict between these Terms and the service contract, the service contract prevails.

Estimates and Quotes

Free estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Fixed-price quotes are based on visible conditions at the time of assessment. Hidden conditions (water damage, structural issues, electrical code violations) discovered during demolition may require a change order with adjusted pricing.

Payment Terms

30% deposit due at contract signing to secure project slot and order materials
30% due at project midpoint (rough-in completion)
30% due at substantial completion (final walkthrough)
10% retainer due 30 days after final walkthrough

Warranty Coverage

Smart Space Home Guide provides a 5-year workmanship warranty on all labor and installation. Manufacturer warranties apply to materials and appliances. Warranty is void if work is modified by third parties or if damage results from neglect, natural disasters, or improper maintenance.

Cancellation Policy

Either party may cancel a project contract with 7 days written notice. Work completed and materials ordered prior to cancellation are billable. Deposits are refundable minus material costs already incurred.

Limitation of Liability

Smart Space Home Guide is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services. Our total liability is limited to the contract value of the specific project in dispute.

Governing Law
